Spread Joy!
Posted on December 17 2023
Let’s all spread joy this month!
December is the perfect time, a festive holiday season, to spread joy!
There are eleven holidays celebrated around the world in December: St. Nicholas Day (December 5 or 6), Immaculate Conception Day (December 8), Bodhi Day (December 8), Feast of Our Lady Guadalupe (December 12), Hanukkah (December 7-15), Yule (December 21-January 1), Christmas (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26), Kwanzaa (december 26-January 1), Zarthosht No-Diso (December 26), New Year’s Eve (December 31).
Plan time for experiences that bring joy to others and to you this season of holidays.
Whatever you choose to do, the goal is to spread joy in your community.
The smallest gesture can have the biggest impact.
“It’s not how much we give, but how much we put into giving” Mother Teresa
“If you see someone without a smile today, give’em yours.” Dolly Parton
Focus on ways to create social connections, minimize stress, practice self-care and improve wellness through spreading joy.
Our ability to intentionally spread joy is what sets us apart as human beings.
According to Harvard Health online, “Joy is a state of mind resulting from meaningful experiences, Surprising Benefits of Joy…your immune system can be strengthened by your mental state (immune cells even have receptors for neurotransmitters). Interventions to increase joy may also decrease stress hormones, improve pain, and relieve depression. Finally, finding joy can help you live longer.”
Cheers to Joy!
