- 99.9% of all businesses in the U.S. are small businesses.  There are 33.2 million small businesses in the U.S.

- 45.9% of Americans are employed by a U.S. small business.  Small businesses create millions of jobs over time.

Here’s a look at the importance of small businesses:

Small businesses are the primary source of new jobs in the US, accounting for a large percentage of net new job creation. They hire a significant portion of the workforce, contributing to overall employment growth.

They represent a substantial portion of the US economy, contributing to GDP, sales, and overall economic activity. Their presence strengthens local economies by creating jobs and stimulating consumer spending.

Small businesses are often at the forefront of innovation, developing new products and services that drive industry growth and competitiveness.
